home task

Hi! My home task was to prepare the services that are associated with the study within particular discipline. To be honest, I don't use any online services for studying on a permanent basis except for various dictionaries, of course:) So let's talk a little about them, but specifically about Google translator. I do not understand why many tutors of our university misprise it. May be because they didn't use this translator for a long time, having had time to be disappointed. So, for the last 1-3 years, Google translator has undergone significant changes for the better (at least this applies English-Russian and Russian-English dictionaries). Of course, it isn't perfect, like nothing in this world)) but nevertheless it is not bad (!) if it is to be compared with an older version. It's clear that google translator is not all-purpose, especially if you need specific tones, meanings of the word or how to pronounce a word. Then I use multitran or wooordhunt. Exept for dictionaries, I also used the app on the phone 'Memrise' to improve my Spanish.
Okay, back to homework. I found this resource, which, it seems to me, is related to at least three disciplines: Practical Grammar (1-2 courses), Functional Grammar (3rd year) and Theoretical Grammar (this, 4th year). I think this site will be an excellent assistant if there are any issues related to these disciplines (and not only these). There are various training materials, information on English-speaking countries and holidays, games, exercises for different levels, interesting facts, tests, writing exercises, etc.
In general, the Internet is a huge platform for obtaining knowledge (it is confirmed by this and the previous post, but in fact this knowledge base doesn't end there), the main thing is the desire to learn.
